1/20/2024 0 Comments One step from eden game pass![]() ![]() I also feel like Hell Pass 13 and 14 should be separate modifiers from the rest as they provide adequate challenge on their own. I feel like a few of the modifiers should be rework to not make some artifacts and loadouts completely useless. So I decide to cool off and write this instead. However, that wouldn't lead to a proper discussion (and just a bunch of "git gud" instead). Once I completed that, I felt like some changes were needed and to be honest, my first version of this discussion was filled with a lot more rants and salt. Hell Pass 13 is where things started to go south (but not too south) and then there was Hell Pass 14. However, it still wasn't extremely tough. Hell Pass 10 is where I felt the difficulty rise, but like I said, it's it was Solo Saffron specific. ![]() Echo can also function well, but you focus on upgrading Ragnarok instead (Echo also copies the upgrades on the spell). 700 attack per 2 mana is nothing to sneeze at (get 2x damage on Ragnarok, Fragile and Doublecast on Switchbait and you've got a 4k attack per cast). Once you get Switchbait however, the run's essentially over as long as you can get past by the high spam bosses such as Reva. However, she still doesn't trivialize the mode like Shopkeeper does, so caution is recommended until you amass a hefty amount of HP. ![]() If you are hell bent on trying her out, Once you get past your start (and get a mana upgrade or a good spell on your first fight), she can start building up steam quite fast: Ragnarok is a powerful spell and can wipe out most enemies before they become troublesome, and being able to build up HP with Soul Food takes out a lot of luck regarding Shopkeeper pacts. The first enemy will be tough to beat with your buster alone, and if you have the misfortune of it being one of those lancers or knights from the Ruins, it's borderline impossible (those enemies gain shields when attacking, and that's on top of the extra artifacts). From Hell Pass 10 onward, she has the absolute worst start of any character so far due to not being able to cast her only spell, Ragnarok. As pointed in the comments, I used Solo Saffron for everything (did try Shopkeeper for Hell Pass 14, but I was at a loss of what to do due to me having no game plan with her). I spread the Hell Passes to two or three a day (about 1h30 each day), but Hell Pass 14 took me a good 5 hours to complete alone. Most importantly, do you feel like the Hell Passes should be reworked? If so, how? If not, why? Are you enjoying them/ Did you enjoy them? How much time have you spent on Hell Passes (so far)? To those who are currently attempting Hell Passes (all are welcome, but especially those who are attempting the last two) or have already finished them: However, I know this sentiment might not be shared, so I decided to make a discussion about it. Unfairly so IMO: Hell Pass 13 is already very difficult considering all bosses have all of their mechanics unlocked from the first world (and it only gets worse from there), so stacking being at 1 HP on top as well as the other 12 effects requires perfect dodging and/or obscene amounts of luck, and considering the fast pace of this game, it was a very unfun experience for me. So, I just gave the Hell Passes a go and the last two are BRUTAL! TL DR: How do you feel about Hell Passes and should they be reworked? ![]()
